Walks into London

Activities

These are held on alternate months to the rural WALKS INTO HISTORY, being under the same 'umbrella' but taking place in the  built environment.  The convenor is Joanna Hughes walkslondon@chessvalley-u3a.org.uk  Walks are organised through LONDON WALKS www.walks.com .   Walks generally last for two hours and are led by an experienced guide.

Walks are open to all U3A Chess Valley members once they are on the London Walks email list.  Currently walks are on the 2nd Wednesday of the month; walks into London for 2012 will be in June, August, October and December. 

Our next walk is on 13 June 2012 – Historic Greenwich. We have two groups for this walk, but if you are interested in going, there are still places, so please get in touch.

Although we have a large number of members that have joined the London Walks group, we do need to ensure we have sufficient numbers to cover the cost of booking the guide(s). Therefore, advance collection of payment needs to be made at either the Monthly U3A meetings or two months ahead (i.e. on the previous walk). Where this is not possible, arrangements should be made either with the Convenor or Treasurer (Rosie King).
