The aim of this group is to allow members to share their
love of patchwork and quilting. At most meetings members bring their ongoing
projects to show others and ask for advice. We initially made sampler quilts to
teach beginners basic techniques. Since then occasional all day workshops have
been held (5 or 6 a year) and it is planned for this to continue. If possible
these are led by a group member but we intend to invite outside teachers as and
when needed. We have also had occasional visits to our regular meetings from
local quilters to show their work.
If you are interested please contact the convenor. No
knowledge of patchwork and quilting is needed but basic sewing skills (ideally
including possession of and familiarity with a sewing machine) are an
advtantage.
